Accessing Student Accounts

In addition to logging on with there username and password, students can also access their accounts a second way.  By logging in as g (on a Mobile Lab computer) the students can access their documents by carrying out the following steps.

Login to the computer as g (no password).  If it is a teacher computer, there will be no g account.

Click on "Go" from the pulldown menu (top of the screen), and then "Connect to Server."

From the above window type in:  "chshome/Graduation year" (if the student doesn't know their user name they can get it from the Media Center or  CAV Center) and hit "Connect"

Have the student input their username in the "Name" text box,  input their password in the "Password" text box (a students password will be their student ID#), and hit "Connect".

By clicking on their username the students files can be accessed, saved, and transferred  into and out of the students account. 

Once the student are finished, have them click the little eject button to disconnect them from the server.  Otherwise other students will be able to access and change there account.
