•  Open Enrollment for 2017-2018 

 Apply anytime between March 1st at 9:00 a.m. and

March 31st at 5:00 p.m. for the 2017-18 School Year  


Open Enrollment is a way to provide families a method for district and school choice. Residents and non-residents of North Clackamas School District may apply. If a student is approved for an Open Enrollment slot, a release is not required from the resident district. On January 26, 2017, the North Clackamas School District Board made the decision to open a total of 285 slots in many of our schools through Open Enrollment for the 2017-2018 school year.

Applications will be available on the website Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. through Friday, March 31st at 5:00 p.m. 
A lottery will be held the week of April 10th and families will be notified of placements by May 1st.
If a student is approved for Open Enrollment, it is good through high school graduation (following the feeder schools), unless the contract is broken.

 •  Interdistrict Transfers for 2017-2018 
Interdistrict transfers involve the transfer of a student from one school district to another.  
Example: A student resides in Oregon City School District and wants to attend North Clackamas School District, or a student resides in North Clackamas School District and wants to attend a Portland Public School.  In order to receive an interdistrict transfer, a family must: 1) be released from the resident school district and 2) be granted admission into the district of choice. 

• Process for being released from North Clackamas School District •  

The school board has determined that North Clackamas School District will award a release to any family applying for a interdistrict transfers out of North Clackamas. 

 Families may apply for a release by completing the online application.
Families will be notified of their approval for a release within two weeks of submitting an application.  Once a release is awarded, and you have secured admission into your school district of choice, your student will not need to be released again unless applying to attend a different school district of choice.

If your student was released from North Clackamas School District during 2016-17 and enrolled in their identified school district of choice, you do not need to complete an application for 2017-18 Your release to the identified school of choice is valid through graduation.

Applications for Interdistrict Transfers for the 2017-18 school year are closed at this time. Applications will be received beginning April 24, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. 

Transfers INTO North Clackamas School District
The North Clackamas School District 
A release from the resident district will be required prior to registering a student accepted on an Interdistrict Transfer. 
Applications are currently closed for an Interdistrict Transfer INTO North Clackamas School District. Applications will open on May 1, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. 
 Please note that transportation is not provided for students on transfers. Transportation is the responsibility of the student's family.
