Positive Behavior Support

Every day, Milwaukie Elementary School exercises three rules: Be Safe, Be Kind & Be Respectful - in an effort to have a community filled with supportive and positive behavior.

We introduce, teach, model and practice our behavior expectations in every area of the school, then positively recognize students when they are safe, kind and respectful. Our school celebrates together as a community when
we meet our goals.

Ways you can help support PBS at home:
➢   Ask your student what it means to be Safe, Kind & Respectful
➢   When your student earns a ‘Mighty Maverick’, celebrate their effort
➢   Use the same vocabulary at home: Was that safe? Was that Kind? Is that respectful?

It’s always a great day to be a Mighty Maverick!
