When you gotta go, you GOTTA GO...see"Urinetown" November 9-17
Picture a town, anywhere USA suffering through a twenty-year drought. The water supply is diminishing. Those that have control of the water, tell those that don’t; you must “pay to pee”. Urinetown: The Musical is a comedic, social satire. Urinetown asks its audience to think deeply, but it does so with comic craziness. You name the comic or literary device, and you see it in action on stage. The contemporary social issues of, “corporate control, corruption, environmental conservation and the growing divide between rich and poor” are presented with wickedly, funny wit.
The cast of over 65 students is headed by Aidan Nolan, Emily Kent, Keenan Kok-Carlson, Mathew Thomas, Onalee Duhrkoop and Megan Bradner. Featured roles are played by Jenna Reed, Loren Riddle, Richelle McDaniel, Mallori Powell, Keenan Dolan, Glen Peak, Jake Thiessen, Blake Dunbar and Dillon King. Adding orchestra, crew and parent volunteers brings the total individual count to over 150 participating in the production.
