About Sabin-Schellenberg
Professional Technical Center
Celebrating 40+ years of career and technical
education to the students of the North Clackamas School District
The Sabin-Schellenberg Professional Technical Center opened in 1967 as the Owen Sabin Occupational Skills Center. Over the years, it has grown to include the Agricultural Land Lab adjacent to Clackamas High School, and the forestry program, recently relocated to the Sabin campus. In 2003, we expanded to include the Ben Schellenberg Technical Center in the building that once housed McLoughlin Middle School.
In 1967 three programs were offered to junior and senior students. This fall almost 3,500 students in grades 9-12 selected classes from farm to fork – working with tire irons and flat irons. A significant component of the North Clackamas high school experience is the opportunity for all high school students to explore career and technical education at one of three Sabin-Schellenberg campuses offering over 60 elective classes in 15 different career fields. Many of our programs have college articulation allowing students to earn college credit at area community colleges:
- Agriculture
- Automotive Service Technology
- Broadcasting & Digital Media
- Business & Management
- Computer Aided Design
- Cosmetology
- Culinary Arts
- Digital Design
- Early Learning
- Electronics Technology
- Fire Science
- Forestry
- Health Services
- Law Enforcement
- Manufacturing & Engineering
Throughout the 2011-2012 school year, we will continue to celebrate our growth and student successes. We invite you to participate in advisory committees, volunteer in classrooms, or as panelists for Senior Seminar Exhibitions. We look forward to seeing you soon!
