Response to Intervention (RTI) is a systematic approach to providing services for all students in North Clackamas elementary schools. RTI supports early intervening and careful monitoring of student progress. It is the way we ensure students will become successful learners. Currently our focus is on reading instruction.
Some key features of RTI include:
Providing all students with research-based reading instruction.
Screening all students for reading skills
Identifying students who need more support and providing the support as soon as possible.
Collecting data to see if the additional help is working.
Collaboration among school staff to determine the most effective supports for students.
Working with parents if your child continues to need support.
