How To Get Started Searching For Scholarships

General Scholarships
This Scholarship link connects to Naviance where a national and local scholarship searches can be performed. The scholarship searches can be found under the colleges tab. Search for general scholarships under National Scholarships. Search for local community scholarships and CHS student scholarships under Scholarship List.

 
Oregon Student Access Commission (OSAC) 
Every year, OASC lists hundreds of scholarships that are available to Oregon high school students.  As you begin your search, keep in mind your skills, interests, hertiage, field of study, and state of residency.  You should also keep track of your activities, both academic and extracurricular.  Many scholarships are based on your association with particular groups and/or your involvement in certain activities.

 
"For CHS Students Only" Scholarships
These senior only scholarships are listed on Naviance (see above). The scholarship applications are available on Naviance in early March and the deadlines are in April or May.


Scholarship Search Information
There are many places on the internet to find scholarships.  However, you must beware of scholarship scams!  You should never pay for scholarship information, applications, or for a guaranteed award.  This page will give you places to search for more scholarships.
