Our local Sunrise Rotary club generously donated over 50 books for our 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students participating in the Oregon Battle of the Books club. Each books was personally inscribed with a message from Sunrise Rotary Club members, encouraging students in their love of reading. The club will read books from the official 16 titles on the Oregon Battle of the Books booklist. They will practice answering questions and then compete locally and regionally in competitions with other students regarding their knowledge of the content of each book in teams of four. Thanks to the Sunrise Rotary club each participant will also have their own team member t-shirt.
