The Milwaukie High School Health & Wellness Center is a health clinic open to all students attending Milwaukie High School and Milwaukie Academy of the Arts. All services are free of charge. If a student has health insurance we will try to bill the insurance to help fund our efforts. A student or parent can walk in or call to make an appointment. We do our best to work with class schedules and, whenever possible, appointments are scheduled during free periods or study hall. If there is an urgent concern, we may pull a student out of class.

Services
We offer all the services that a normal doctor’s office provides. We offer comprehensive preventive, primary and mental healthcare for currently enrolled Milwaukie High School students and Milwaukie Academy of Arts students.

Dental cleanings, screenings, fluoride and sealants
Early detection, diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury
Vision, dental and blood pressure screenings

Routine lab tests (Labs may incur a cost. The provider will contact the parent/guardian before labs are done.)

Assistance with applying for health insurance

How to set up an appointment
Students are encouraged to come to the clinic to set up an appointment. Sometimes same day appointments are available. If we are unable to provide a same-day appointment, we can often get students in within a week. Parents and guardians may call to set up an appointment for students at:
503.353.5847

Vaccines
The clinic is currently able to offer certain vaccinations to eligible students. Students, parents or guardians should contact the clinic for more information. For all minors, under the age of 18, we require parent or guardian consent in order to administer vaccinations.

Cost
Clinic services (excluding labs) are free for all students, with or without insurance. If your student has health insurance we will attempt to bill the insurance to fund our efforts so we can provide service to as many students as possible. If your insurance does not cover the cost of labs, you may be billed for them. Our providers will work with parents/guardians to make sure unnecessary fees are not incurred.

Insurance
You or your child may be eligible for free or low cost health insurance through CoverOregon or Kaiser Permanente Child Health Program.
For more information on CoverOregon ask our staff or go online to: http://www.coveroregon.com/?utm_source=domain&utm_medium=url&utm_campaign=coveroregon_org
