6TH GRADE PARENT NIGHT - TUESDAY, AUGUST 28TH
Earlier
this Spring, ACMS planned to host a parent night for next year's sixth
grade parents. The students had a chance to tour our campus and meet
counselors, and we wanted to provide an opportunity for parents during
the transition to middle school. The original plan was to introduce the
sixth grade teachers, make the sixth grade classrooms available, and
answer specific questions. Unfortunately, all the time and effort
invested in the process to develop a new middle school schedule left us
with very little time and very few specific answers.
Instead of a Spring event, we would like to invite parents to a 6th Grade Parent Night on Tuesday, August 28th.
Parents
will have the opportunity to tour the building, meet sixth grade
teachers, see classrooms, and ask questions of the administration. Staff
can also share the purpose of Assurance Day, and our PBIS program. It
is our hope that the timing of the event, and our ability to be
specific, will provide a great start for our 6th grade students and
families.
