Bilingual programs & Arts Academy seek applicants for fall

North Clackamas Schools has two bilingual elementary programs open to students across the district. In addition, the Milwaukie Arts Academy offers high school students an arts-focused college-prep curriculum. Registration opens soon on all three programs.

Concord Elementary wins national achievement award

State Schools Superintendent Susan Castillo announced that Concord Elementary School in the North Clackamas District has been named a 2011 Title 1 Distinguished School, a national honor. The program honors schools across the country for their innovation in helping low-income students achieve at high levels.

North Clackamas students show academic gains

Despite substantial funding cuts, last year North Clackamas schools made strong gains on state exams, particularly in math, but also in reading, writing and science.
