As part of the bond issue proposal, the Board established an oversight committee, which meets with the superintendent and staff no fewer than four times annually until the proposed bond projects are completed. The purpose of the committee is to:
- Serve as an independent advisory capacity to superintendent and district staff
- Ensure accountability that district is fulfilling bond commitments and bond funds are being used for purposes intended
- Review bond program revenues, expenditures, and financial audit information
- Review projects' status, commitments, expenditures, and schedules
- Share input, provide feedback, and ask clarifying questions to district staff
- Provides quarterly progress reports to the superintendent to share with the school board and public
