NCSD would like to remind our community how we will communicate with families during a local emergency, whether at single or multiple schools.
In cases of emergency, we contact families directly via ParentSquare and FlashAlert. Please ensure that all of your contact information is accurate in ParentVue. This information is directly linked to our ParentSquare communications.
1) Parents and guardians with registered contact information are alerted via email, phone, or text. In cooperation with law enforcement, NCSD will always provide the most up-to-date information available, and ask that families refrain from coming to the emergency site until directed by the school.
2) Depending on the situation, families might be asked to reunite with their students at a designated alternate location. This ensures a safe and organized process. We would contact families with information about where the reunification will take place and next steps.
3) We encourage families to Register for FlashAlert, which provides emergency and weather-related school closure information via text, email, or via app: FlashAlert
4) In the event of a disaster-related emergency, NCSD will work with Clackamas County Emergency Management to utilize the Clackamas County Public Alerts Notification System. Please use the link to sign up to receive disaster-related alerts that are relevant to Clackamas County.
Your cooperation helps maintain a secure environment for everyone, and we are committed to keeping you informed during any emergency.
