Dual Language Immersion

The goal of the North Clackamas School District Dual Language Immersion Program is to increase the academic achievement of English Learners while promoting multilingualism and affirming the diverse identities, languages, races, and cultural heritages of students and families in the North Clackamas community.

Paraeducators - also known as instructional assistants - support teachers and students in classroom and instructional settings. Paraeducators perform a variety of instructional support duties to assist the school and teachers with instruction, supervision and education of students in General Education, Special Education, Dual-Language Immersion (DLI), and Career Technical Education (CTE) classrooms.

*Paraeducators do not require a TSPC license.*

Schedule:

• Work schedules typically fall during school instructional hours. 
• Actual work schedules depend on the school, student, and/or class, which can vary.  
   

Classified Instructional Openings

After School CARE Program Professionals support the (CARE) Community After-School Relationship Enrichment Program. A CARE Program Professional provides supervised activities for up to 25 students during non-school hours, performing duties to support student social development and to assure the care and safety of children enrolled in the after school program.

*Must have at least one year of supervisory experience with children in group settings (up to 25 students) like classrooms, daycare, or recreation.*

Schedule:

• 2:00pm - 6:00pm for the after school program
• 6:00am-8:00am for the morning program
• 7:00am-6:00pm for non-school day programs. 

After School program Openings

Administrative Assistants perform a variety of school clerical or district office support duties. Duties may include front office operations, reception activities, student attendance reporting, counseling services support, special education and/or district office or department support, and English language development support.

Schedule:

• 8 hours a day and fall during school operation hours.
   

Operations & Administrative Staff Openings

Student Support Staff provide a variety of non-instructional support duties for students, families, buildings, and the community. Positions include but not limited to: Campus Security Specialist, Athletic Trainer, Student & Community Engagement Specialist, Restorative Practices Coordinator, Interpreter/Translator, and District Couriers.

Nutrition Services Staff work in building cafeterias preparing and providing meals for students and staff. Nutrition Services positions include the Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Lead, and Nutrition Services Assistant. Nutrition Services Assistants perform a variety of tasks, including: food storage, preparation, serving and clean-up. Nutrition Service Assistants follow meal programming nutritional and food safety guidelines as established by Federal-USDA, State and District policies.

Schedule:

• Morning and into the afternoon, typically 2-7 hours shifts.

Nutrition Services Openings

Facility Operations Staff play an essential role in maintaining buildings and supporting a learning environment that promotes the health, attitude and pride of students. Facility Operations positions include School Custodian, Maintenance Worker, HVAC Technician, and Groundskeeper. In addition to regular building maintenance functions, Facility Operations provides direct support to classroom teachers and staff in the set up and maintenance of furniture and equipment.

Facilities Operations Openings

Transportation positions include School Bus Driver, Van Driver, and Transportation Assistant. Responsibilities include safely transporting students and other authorized persons over regular "to and from school" routes, and on field, cocurricular, and special or extra activity trips as authorized by the school district. The driver must interact in a positive, professional manner with students, parents, the public, and school authorities.
