College & Career Readiness

North Clackamas School District college and career readiness specialists work to eliminate systemic barriers for students and families as they prepare for post-secondary success.

Our goal is to prepare each student toward a meaningful future by ensuring equitable access to opportunities, high-quality programs, and advanced courses, and by supporting each child’s talents, dreams, and potential. The district’s comprehensive college and career curriculum [insert link/graphic here] guides students from middle school through high school graduation by providing multiple opportunities to explore their interests, skills, and passions thereby empowering them to set personal and academic goals toward an inspired future. 

Centered in equity, we share, network, and support each other's college and career programs and activities in the high schools and as a district in order to address student access barriers, narrow racial achievement and opportunity gaps, increase representation, and ensure historically underserved students are able to reach their fullest potential towards their dreams.

We do this by:

• HONORING each student’s cultural heritage. 
• SUPPORTING students’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
• IMPLEMENTING practices for culturally relevant and inclusive learning environments.
• IMPROVING outcomes for our most vulnerable and underserved populations with strategic support. 
• ENGAGING and RETAINING students who are chronically absent toward on-time graduation. 
• EDUCATING students towards post-secondary admissions and career pathway opportunities.
