Youth Transition Program

The Youth Transition Program (YTP) is a collaboration between Vocational Rehabilitation, Oregon Department of Education, and North Clackamas School District. YTP provides Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) to students with disabilities. The purpose of the program is to prepare students for employment or career-related post-secondary education or training.

What Are Pre-ETS?

There are five Pre-Employment Transition Services:

Job Exploration

Learn about different types of jobs.
Learn about your strengths, abilities, and interests to figure out what jobs would be a good fit.

Work-Based Learning

Participate in informational interviews.
Join someone at their job to learn about what they do.

Workplace readiness

Learn how to interact with your boss, coworkers, and customers.
Learn how to show your best self in an interview and at work.
Learn what to expect in a workplace.

Self-advocacy

Learn how to have your opinion be heard.
Learn how to ask for what you need.
Gain confidence in making decisions.

Post-secondary counseling

Explorate next steps after school.
Learn about college or training options.
Understand and be connected to services that can help you after school.
