Zūm Parent App

Zūm is a digital platform that helps schools use student data and GPS mapping to create better transportation routes and manage resources.  The Zūm App allows families instant, real-time transportation updates, along with information about all route numbers, stop locations, and times.

Parents/Guardians will be able to access student bus route information starting September 3, 2026 using the Zūm Parent App.

No, the Zūm app is not the only way to access your student's bus information. While the app provides real-time GPS tracking and live map visibility, you can easily retrieve your child's core schedule, bus stop location, and pickup times through alternative methods. 

• You can contact Zūm directly by phone at 1-855-RIDEZUM (1-855-743-3986). The support agent can look up your student’s schedule, provided you can verify the registered phone number or email address on file.
• You can contact NCSD’s Transportation Office which has direct dashboard access to all active Zūm routes. 

Ultimately, the Zum parent App is the easiest, most convenient way to manage your student’s transportation information.
 

Yes. If NCSD has approved your child for busing, Zūm automatically creates the student's profile and assigns them a route using the information already on file with the school district.

An address change cannot be done inside the Zūm app. You must update your address directly with NCSD. Because Zūm relies on the school district's database for official student enrollment and routing, any change made at the school district will automatically sync to Zūm.

Yes. The Zum App is currently available in 12 different Languages - English, Spanish, Arabic, Burmese, Cape Verdean Creole (Kabuverdianu), French, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Swahili, and Vietnamese.

The Zum App allows families instant, real-time transportation updates. Plus, the Zum App will provide information about all route numbers, stop locations, and times.

During the Month of August:

1. Be looking for weekly email updates from your school about Zūm.
2. Please verify your parent / guardian contact information is updated in ParentVue. This will ensure you receive all Zům communication in a timely fashion.
3. Families should expect communication at the end of August with how to access specific route details, including pick up /drop off times, and a stop location for your student.

As we prepare for the 2026-27 school year, North Clackamas is excited to announce that we are partnering with  Zūm  - an app that monitors our student transportation services in real time.

This change brings a brand-new mobile app to our district, allowing you to track your child’s school bus in real time, receive instant arrival notifications, and manage rides.

Before we launch the app, we need your help to prevent login issues. The Zūm app relies entirely on the contact information we have on file in our system. To ensure you can log in seamlessly later this month, please verify your details today.

What all NCSD families should do by August 28th :

1. Log into your  ParentVue  account. (If you don’t remember your password, or need to activate/create an account, the page will provide links for directions.  ) 

2. Check your Primary Mobile Phone Number  and Primary Email Address .

3. If any information is outdated or blank, please update it immediately. In order to update your email address, click on the "Enrollment Or Verification" button. This should allow families to update any information.

Note: Security precautions only allow individuals listed as primary parents or legal guardians in our system to be granted access to their students' bus schedules.

What the Zūm App means for you:

• Real-Time Tracking: View a live map to see the exact location of your student's bus and its estimated arrival time.

• Peace of Mind Alerts: Receive instant notifications when the bus is approaching your stop, and when your student safely boards or exits the vehicle.

• Driver Profiles: See the name and photo of your student's driver so you know exactly who's behind the wheel.

What all NCSD families should do by Friday, August 28th:

Is it secure?  Yes. Your child’s transportation data is fully protected. Only verified parents and guardians registered as primary contacts in  ParentVue  are able to log into the app.

The countdown to the first day of school is now underway…and that means families can now download the Zum App so they are prepared to access bus route information  starting Thursday, September 3rd .

Please follow these simple steps to set up your free account before the first day of school:

Step 1: Download the App:  Search for "Zum"  in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Step 2: Log In To Zūm (No Password Needed) - Open the app and enter the mobile phone number or email address registered with the school district.

Step 3: Verify Your Account - You will instantly receive a 6-digit verification code via text message or email. Enter that code into the app to complete your secure login.

Step 4: STARTING SEP. 3RD , Check Your Student's Route - Tap the  "Rides"  tab to see your child's upcoming schedule.  (Note: Bus routes are updated regularly. If your route looks incomplete, please check back closer to the first day of school).  PLEASE NOTE: ROUTES WILL BE AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER 3RD.

Step 5: Upload A Photo (Optional But Recommended) - NCSD encourages families to upload a clear profile picture of their students inside the app. This helps bus drivers quickly and safely identify each student at the bus stop.

Troubleshooting & Support

• What if my phone/email wasn't recognized?  This means the contact info you entered doesn't match our student information database. Please log onto  ParentVue  to update your file.  (It may take up to 24 hours for the systems to sync.)

• Can both parents use the app?  Yes, but both parents must be listed in  ParentVue  as primary contacts with their own distinct mobile number/email. Follow the steps above using your own details.

The first day of school is coming soon! Now is the time to use the Zūm Parent App to access bus route information for your student.

Log in to your Zūm Parent App, tap the "Routes"  tab, and view your child's upcoming schedule. The schedule should show you the location and time of your student’s bus stop.  (Note: Bus routes are updated regularly. If your route looks incomplete, please check back closer to the first day of school). 

The first days of school are an exciting time! Please remember at the start of the year, students and drivers are learning their routes.  It is important to be at your stop at least 5 minutes early, and it is possible that buses may be several minutes late.  Usually, by the second or third week of school, routes are adjusted, kindergartners are comfortable, and things are running smoothly and on time. Your patience and grace is appreciated.
