Need help applying for the Oregon Health Plan? Call us at 503 655-8336 to find out if your child is eligible and for assistance in applying.

Community donations are an integral part of the work we do. We accept the following:

• Shelf-stable food, local produce
• Clothing & shoes for students (Kindergarten - 12th Grade)       
• Hygiene Items (Soap, shampoo, diapers, baby wipes, etc.)
• Backpacks
• School supplies (college-ruled paper, college-ruled composition books, rulers, 2" binders, 8-tab dividers, index cards, highlighters, pencil sharpeners, permanent markers, pink erasers, and sharp scissors)

Field and Facility Use

The Wichita Center food pantry is open for North Clackamas School District families. 

Here is the schedule:

Shop in-person on Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 am - *6 pm, or Wednesdays from 10 am-*4 pm. 

* Entrance to the Food Pantry ends 15 minutes prior to the end of the day, and entrance to the Clothes Closet ends 30 minutes prior to the end of the day.

Donations of food are accepted during building hours, Monday-Friday, 8-4:30. Please do not leave donations outside of the building if you arrive and the building is closed.

Eligibility - Who can access the Food Pantry and Clothing Closet?

Our Food Pantry serves families who have students in the North Clackamas School District, Wichita Center Ready-Set-Go, Wichita Center Head Start, and WIC Programs. The Clothes Closet is open to NCSD students only. Please contact us directly if you have any questions.

Head Start is a non-profit organization that serves children of low-income families residing in Clackamas County. Head Start does not charge any fees. We provide quality child development and preschool education, nutritious meals, regular health screenings (including dental, vision and hearing), mental health staff, and family services (including home visits).

Homeless Liaison/McKinney-Vento Services

If you are experiencing homelessness, please contact our center at (503) 353-5663 or complete the referral form. We will help you enroll in school and provide you with other resources through the Family Support Center.
 

NORTH CLACKAMAS SCHOOL DISTRICT MCKINNEY-VENTO REFERRAL FORM

Students learn better when they are healthy. The NCSD Oral Health Program helps students who do not have dental insurance or regular access to a dentist. We serve students across the North Clackamas School District, with a primary focus on elementary students in Title I high-poverty schools.

Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS)

A Family Coach is on site at Wichita center on Mondays, Tuesdays, and
Fridays, 8am to 5pm. The role of a Family Coach is to work with families
receiving cash assistance to become independent, healthy and safe
through ongoing coaching, collaboration and coordination.

Volunteer

WIC is a supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children. For Oregon families, we serve pregnant and breastfeeding women, non-breastfeeding women up to six months postpartum, infants 12 months and under, and children from 12 months to 5 years old.
